Adriana Grande

Before the resent massacre at Manchester, I had not even heard of Adriana Grande. So I googled and looked up some of her songs on YouTube video. (i.e. Dangerous woman, Bang bang, Breakfree etc.).

This woman really knows how to spice up a song with sex. Now sex is a wonderful thing. Life would be pretty dull with out it. But a society drenched in sex is not in healthy state. Sex and young girls, especially pre-teenage girls, is a volatile subject. Parents need great wisdom in shepherding young daughters into the wonderful and mysterious world of sex. I still cannot fathom why parents wanted to bring a 8 year old girl to the musical event such as was presented at Manchester.

I am wondering how much the recent suicide bomber was motivated by a wild and irrational reaction to all of this. We know that modern jihadists detest Western civilization, its religion, its culture, including its music. Was the Adriana Grande concert chosen at random? I doubt it.

The bombing of innocents is horrendous. However, this should not stop us from trying to understand their motivations. We should strongly denounce their actions, but should we not ask what is motivating them? We need to know what they are thinking so that we can reasonably respond to their actions.
